Xi Jinping and US President Biden Holds China US Dollar Summit

release time:2023/11/16

The two heads of state had a frank and in-depth exchange of views on strategic, global, and directional issues related to China US relations, as well as major issues related to world peace and development.
Another approach is to embrace zero sum thinking, incite opposition between factions, and lead the world towards turbulence and division. Two choices represent two directions that will determine the future of humanity and the future of Earth. As the most important bilateral relationship in the world, China US relations should be considered and planned in this context. It is not feasible for China and the United States not to engage in interactions. It is unrealistic to change the other party, and the consequences of conflict and confrontation cannot be borne by anyone. Competition among major powers cannot solve the problems faced by China, the United States, and the world. This earth can accommodate China and the United States. The success of China and the United States is an opportunity for each other.
China has no plans to surpass or replace the United States, and the United States should not have any plans to suppress and contain China.
As long as both sides adhere to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, they can completely overcome differences and find the correct way for the two major powers to coexist.   At this San Francisco meeting, China and the United States should have a new vision and work together to shape the five pillars of Sino US relations.
One is to jointly establish a correct understanding. China has always been committed to building a stable, healthy, and sustainable Sino US relationship. At the same time, China has interests that must be upheld, principles that must be defended, and bottom lines that must be upheld. I hope the two countries can become partners, respect each other, and coexist peacefully.

The second is to effectively manage differences together. We cannot let differences become a gap between the two countries, but we must find ways to build bridges that run in opposite directions. Both sides need to understand each other's bottom line principles, not to make trouble, not to cross boundaries, communicate more, engage in dialogue, and discuss more, and calmly handle differences and accidents.

The third is to jointly promote mutually beneficial cooperation. China and the United States have broad common interests in many fields, including traditional fields such as economy and trade, agriculture, as well as emerging fields such as climate change and artificial intelligence. Both sides should make full use of the mechanisms restored or established in diplomatic, economic, financial, commercial, agricultural and other fields, and carry out cooperation in areas such as drug control, judicial enforcement, artificial intelligence, and technology.
The fourth is to jointly shoulder the responsibility of a major country. Solving the problems faced by human society cannot be separated from cooperation among major powers. China and the United States should set an example, strengthen coordination and cooperation on international and regional issues, and provide more public goods to the world. The initiatives proposed by both sides should be open to each other and can also be coordinated and coordinated to form a joint force.
Fifth, jointly promote cultural and cultural exchanges. We need to increase direct flights between the two countries, promote tourism cooperation, expand local exchanges, strengthen educational cooperation, and encourage and support more exchanges and communication between the two peoples.
China values the positive statements made by the US during the Bali meeting.   China will eventually be unified, and it will inevitably be unified.
Suppressing Chinese technology is to curb China's high-quality development and deprive the Chinese people of their right to development. China's development and growth have endogenous logic, which cannot be stopped by external forces. We hope that the US side will take China's concerns seriously, take action, lift unilateral sanctions, and provide a fair, just, and non discriminatory environment for Chinese enterprises.
The two heads of state acknowledge the efforts made by the two teams since the Bali meeting to discuss and establish the guiding principles of China US relations, emphasizing the need for mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, communication, conflict prevention, adherence to the United Nations Charter, cooperation in areas of common interest, and responsible control of competitive factors in bilateral relations. The two heads of state welcome the continued discussions between the two teams on this matter.
The two heads of state agree to promote and strengthen dialogue and cooperation between China and the United States in various fields, including: establishing an intergovernmental dialogue on artificial intelligence; Establish a working group on drug control cooperation between China and the United States to carry out drug control cooperation; On the basis of equality and respect, we will resume high-level communication between the two militaries, work meetings between the Chinese and US Ministries of Defense, and meetings on the China US Maritime Military Security Consultation Mechanism, as well as conduct talks between leaders of the two military theaters; Agree to further significantly increase flights early next year; Expand exchanges in education, international students, youth, culture, sports, and business sectors, among others.
The two heads of state emphasized the importance of China and the United States accelerating their joint efforts to address the climate crisis in the current critical decade. They welcomed the recent active discussions between the two countries' climate envoys, including domestic emission reduction actions in the 2020's, joint efforts to promote the success of the United Nations Climate Change Dubai Conference (COP28), and the launch of the China US "2020s Enhanced Climate Action Working Group" to accelerate specific climate actions.
