China Uruguay Trade Cooperation Seminar Held in Beijing

On November 21st, the China Uruguay Trade Cooperation Seminar was held in Beijing. Uruguayan President Lakale attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. The President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ren Hongbin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Paganini, and the Minister of Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, and Fisheries, Matos, delivered speeches successively. Uruguayan Minister of Economy and Finance Aveleche, Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mining Fasio, Uruguayan Ambassador to China Lugris, Chinese Government Special Representative for Latin American Affairs Qiu Xiaoqi, Chinese Ambassador to Uruguay Huang Yazhong, and others attended the seminar.
President Lacalle stated that he is delighted to pay a state visit to China, and developing relations with China has been a national policy upheld by successive Uruguayan governments. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and China. The two peoples have established a profound friendship, and bilateral relations are constantly deepening and developing on the basis of mutual respect. Although Uruguay has a small land area, its people are diligent and friendly, politically stable, and its economic development is full of vitality. Ukraine looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China in areas such as economy and trade, and working together to create a better future for both countries and their peoples.
Ren Hongbin stated that since the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine, bilateral relations have always maintained healthy and stable development, and exchanges and cooperation in various fields have yielded fruitful results. Economic and trade cooperation is an important foundation and engine of China Ukraine relations. We hope that both sides can work together to build more platforms, tap into trade potential, and promote the deepening and development of China Ukraine economic and trade cooperation. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is willing to make greater contributions to promoting practical cooperation between the business community of China and Ukraine, and welcomes Ukraine to participate in the first Chain Expo.
Paganini and Matos introduced Uruguay's business environment and promoted opportunities for cooperation in the economic and trade fields. Representatives of Chinese and Ukrainian enterprises attended the meeting for docking and negotiation.
This seminar was co hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Uruguayan Embassy in China, with over 260 government officials, business professionals, and other representatives from both countries attending the event.
