China and Brazil hold the Fourth Foreign Minister level Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue

On January 19, 2024 local time, Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, co chaired the Fourth China Pakistan Foreign Ministerial Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue with Brazilian Foreign Minister Vieira in Brasilia.
Wang Yi said that China Pakistan relations have undergone complex changes in the international situation. Over the past decade since the launch of the comprehensive strategic dialogue between the two sides, mutual trust has become stronger, communication has deepened, and cooperation in various fields has shown broader prospects. Both sides understand and support each other on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns, providing solid guarantees for the healthy and stable development of China Pakistan relations. China has always placed China Pakistan relations in an important position in the overall diplomatic situation and diplomacy with Latin America, supporting Brazil in promoting national development and national rejuvenation. China is willing to work with Brazil to strengthen development strategy docking, expand new areas of cooperation, tap new potential, and inject new impetus and open up new prospects for the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Pakistan, taking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan as an opportunity.
Vieira stated that thanks to the strong mutual trust and strategic guidance of the two heads of state, Pakistan China relations have achieved significant development. The mutually beneficial cooperation between Pakistan and China has a large scale, high quality, fast development, and broad fields, providing important assistance for the development of both countries and bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries. Brazil places its relations with China in an important position, consistently adhering to the One China principle, and looks forward to deepening cooperation in various fields between the two countries to push the relationship between Brazil and China to a new height.
Both sides have had in-depth communication on practical cooperation, international situation, multilateral cooperation, hot issues and other issues, and reached broad consensus.

Both sides will strengthen high-level exchanges, fully leverage the role of mechanisms such as the China Pakistan High Committee and the Foreign Minister level Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue, and restart the bilateral consultation mechanism in various fields as soon as possible.

The two sides will support each other to follow the path of modernization in line with their own national conditions, explore the strategic alignment of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" and Brazil's "Reindustrialization" and "Accelerated Growth Plan", deepen cooperation in traditional fields such as agriculture, energy and mining, infrastructure, aerospace, and expand cooperation in emerging fields such as connectivity, health care, green development, digital economy, clean energy, and artificial intelligence.
Both sides will organize a series of commemorative activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, promote the comprehensive restoration of cultural exchanges, and consolidate the public opinion foundation of China Pakistan friendship. Both sides signed an agreement to provide visa facilitation to each other, in order to further expand personnel exchanges.
Both sides believe that China Pakistan relations are increasingly showing a global impact beyond bilateral scope, and are willing to strengthen strategic cooperation within frameworks such as the United Nations, the G20, BRICS countries, and the World Trade Organization, enhance the voice and representation of developing countries, and defend the common interests of emerging markets and developing countries. China supports Brazil's hosting of the Rio Summit of G20 Leaders, adheres to the correct direction of global governance, and is willing to work with Brazil to promote an equal and orderly world multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization.
Both sides will promote political resolution of hot issues and make contributions to promoting peaceful development between China and Pakistan.
Both sides unanimously believe that cooperation between China and Latin America is in line with the common interests of China and Latin America, and is in line with the trend of progress of the times. They are willing to further activate cooperation between China and Latin America, help regional countries unite and strengthen themselves, and accelerate development and revitalization.
