The relationship between the two parties in China and Cuba is an important cornerstone of the bilateral relationship. In October of this year, the sixth theoretical seminar between the Chinese and Cuban parties was held in Havana, the capital of Cuba. Lasso expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the seminar. Lasso said that the legislative bodies of ancient and Chinese countries have always maintained smooth communication and strengthened political dialogue and experience exchange through different means.

During Lasso's visit, China and Cuba signed a cooperation agreement between the National People's Congress of China and the National People's Congress of Cuba.
