The 4th China Latin America Political Parties Forum, with the theme of "Gathering Political Parties and Building a Community of Shared Future between China and Latin America", was recently held in Beijing. Nearly 100 representatives from 30 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including political parties and regional organizations, ambassadors to China, and representatives from Chinese ministries, universities, and think tanks, attended the conference. The attending guests engaged in dialogue and exchange on topics such as "promoting modernization and enhancing people's well-being" and "strengthening political party building and improving governance capacity". The foreign guests at the meeting said that the political party forum is an important platform for Latin America and China to exchange ideas and experience in governance. Chinese path to modernization has provided Latin American and Caribbean countries with experience to learn from. Political parties in the region are willing to further strengthen inter party exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and make greater contributions to promoting the construction of a community of shared future between Latin America and China.

China is a reliable partner for Latin American countries to achieve development

In November of this year, President Xi Jinping visited Latin America and met with many leaders of Latin American countries, pointing out the direction for building a China Latin America community with a shared future in the new era. The attending foreign guests expressed that under the guidance of the head of state's diplomacy, the political mutual trust between Latin America and China continues to deepen, and pragmatic cooperation is on the fast track of improving quality and upgrading. Both Latin America and China are promoting the alignment of development strategies, driving more projects to be implemented and flourish, which will further promote common development and prosperity.

Angel Chavez, Vice President of the Ecuadorian Opportunity Creation Movement, stated that President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the development of Latin American Chinese relations and has visited Latin America multiple times, pushing cooperation between the two countries to new heights. It is expected that both sides will expand existing cooperation channels, further deepen multilateral cooperation and local exchanges, and open up more new areas of cooperation within the framework of high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road".

In recent years, the economic and trade ties between Latin America and China have become increasingly close, and China is a reliable partner for Latin American countries to achieve development, "said Martin Lusto, Chairman of the Argentine Radical Party and Senator. The prospects for cooperation between Latin America and China are broad, and the two sides have enormous potential for cooperation in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and green energy. Carolina Beuregade, Director of the Coordination Office of the Mexican National Action Party's House of Representatives Caucus and former federal representative, said that mechanisms such as the Latin America China Forum and the Latin America China Political Parties Forum have become important platforms for promoting cooperation between Latin America and China. China is an important trading partner in Latin America and the Caribbean, and also the fastest-growing market for exports in the region. From 2000 to 2022, the total trade volume of goods between Latin America and China increased by 35 times, effectively promoting the economic development of the Latin American region. Mexico is willing to promote more inclusive cooperation with China and work together to build a community with a shared future in Latin America and China.

Carlos Tubino, leader of the Peruvian People's Power Party and former chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, said that Qian Kaigang is a major project of high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road" between Peru and China. After its launch, it will greatly reduce the time and cost for Latin American countries to transport goods to China and other regions of the world, which will not only bring great benefits to Peru, but also have a strong radiation effect on the economic development of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Greene Uhles, Executive Vice Chairman of the Progressive Reform Party of Suriname, stated that Latin America and China are promoting cooperation in emerging fields such as digital economy, clean energy, and artificial intelligence, striving to achieve the beautiful vision of innovation driven development and accelerating green transformation. We look forward to working with China to promote the establishment of a closer strategic cooperative partnership between the Soviet Union and China, and jointly build a community of common destiny between Latin America and China, so as to better benefit the people of all countries.

Set an example for developing countries to explore their own modernization path

Modernization is the historical trend of world development, and achieving modernization is a universal pursuit of countries around the world. The foreign guests at the meeting said that Chinese path to modernization has brought important enlightenment to the vast number of emerging market countries and developing countries. They hope to further strengthen the exchange of experience in governance and development with China, and learn from the successful experience of Chinese path to modernization.

Marta Peres, from the Dominican Left Solidarity Movement, said that China has successfully walked out of the path of Chinese path to modernization and embarked on a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, proving that modernization is not equal to westernization. Ukraine and China share a common vision in promoting modernization and enhancing people's well-being, and developing relations with China is a consensus among all political parties in Ukraine. The White Party of Uruguay is willing to deepen inter party exchanges and exchanges of experience in governance with the CPC.

"The Alliance for Independent Democracy of Chile attaches great importance to exchanges with the CPC, and is willing to learn from China's experience in governance and administration of state affairs to promote mutually beneficial and win-win development between Chile and China." Isabel Pra, vice chairman of the Alliance for Independent Democracy of Chile and former minister of the Ministry of Women, said that Chile and China have a long history of traditional friendship. Chile is the first South American country to establish diplomatic relations with New China, and economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges with China have become an important driving force for Chile's economic and social development.

Domingo Rionelli, Secretary of the National Political Training Department of the Brazilian Socialist Party, stated that Chinese style modernization is a modernization that follows the path of peaceful development. Promote the construction of a more just and reasonable international order
