Shakariev stated that by the end of 2024, the bilateral trade volume between Kazakhstan and China will reach the highest level in history, and emphasized that Kazakhstan will actively achieve export diversification and expand the range of supplied products.

Ha News Agency stated that in order to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, Kazakhstan will organize an economic and trade delegation to participate in important exhibitions in China this year. Kazakhstan and China will also promote trade in high value-added and high-tech products, stimulating the potential for trade growth.

According to reports, in 2024, the bilateral trade volume between China and Kazakhstan reached 43.82 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%, setting a new historical high. The two countries have actively interacted in e-commerce and economic cooperation and achieved significant results. In addition, the Kazakhstan National Pavilion has achieved great success by joining Chinese e-commerce platforms such as JD.com and Alibaba, achieving significant growth in sales.

In addition, Kazakh media reported that the Kaspi.kz payment platform of Kazakhstan Kaspi Bank and Alipay reached a docking agreement in 2024. Kazakh people coming to China can use Alipay in a variety of life scenarios by binding Kaspi bank cards or scanning Alipay QR codes with Kaspi.kz applications. In 2023, Chinese logistics companies such as YTO Express and Yunda will cooperate with Kazakhstan in logistics information systems, intelligent devices, and delivery services, significantly reducing the delivery time of domestic and international packages in Kazakhstan.
