Harmony: Leading the resolute progress of China Russia relations in the new era

  At present, with the accelerated evolution of the century old changes and profound adjustments to the international order, the China Russia relations in the new era have always persevered in the complex external environment, demonstrating distinct characteristics of permanent neighborly friendship, comprehensive strategic cooperation, and mutually beneficial cooperation and win-win outcomes.  

The leadership of the head of state is the greatest political advantage and fundamental guarantee for maintaining high-level operation of China Russia relations.   Last year, China and Russia celebrated the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the two heads of state held three meetings to jointly lead the development of bilateral relations and the reform of the global governance system.   China and Russia have explored a path of non alignment, non confrontation, and non targeting of third parties, standing at the forefront of a new type of major power relationship and setting an example for neighboring country relations, which is a constant in a turbulent world.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union and the World Anti Fascist War. China and Russia, as the two main battlefields of World War II in Asia and Europe, made tremendous sacrifices and significant historical contributions to win the victory of the World Anti Fascist War, save their respective national crises and the future of humanity. China and Russia have reached a consensus to jointly remember history, honor the martyrs, promote the correct view of World War II history, safeguard the achievements of World War II victory and the post-war international order, and defend international fairness and justice.  

The painful lesson of World War II tells people that the law of the jungle and the law of the jungle are not the way for humans to coexist. Peace rather than war, cooperation rather than confrontation, win-win rather than zero sum, are the eternal themes of peace, progress, and development in human society. This year is also the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. China and Russia, as founding members of the United Nations and permanent members of the Security Council, shoulder special and important responsibilities in maintaining the international system with the United Nations at its core. China and Russia will further strengthen their close cooperation on multilateral platforms such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the BRICS countries, unite the countries of the global South, lead the correct direction of global governance, firmly oppose unilateralism and bullying, and work together to promote an equal and orderly world multipolarity, inclusive and inclusive economic globalization.

China and Russia are good neighbors who cannot be moved away, true friends who share weal and woe, support each other, and develop together. Standing at an important historical milestone of the victory of the World Anti Fascist War and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, China and Russia will continue to deepen strategic cooperation, practice true multilateralism, jointly defend the international system centered on the United Nations and other achievements of World War II, promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, and jointly create a better future for the world.
