Executive Vice Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament: Drawing a new blueprint for China Hungary cooperation based on respect and trustworthiness

During the 4th China Central and Eastern European Countries Expo, Hungarian Parliament Executive Vice Chairman Matrau Maldao stated in an interview with CCTV reporters that Hungary China relations are built on mutual respect and recognition, which is why true friendship and partnership can be established.

Speaking of his first visit to Ningbo to attend the Expo, Matuoyi Maldao praised Ningbo's "impressive development speed". She said that the opening ceremony of the Hungarian National Pavilion was "crowded and lively", with exhibition areas focusing on e-commerce, electric vehicles, digitization, scientific research and development, and particularly attracting attention in the field of health and medical research. She emphasized, "Hungarian and Chinese researchers have achieved significant results in their cooperation. We believe that in the future, we can continue to maintain the momentum of cooperation and strive to achieve remarkable results, which will be praised by the world and even Western countries

Matrai Maldow pointed out that Hungary and China have a long-term friendship, and Hungary's "opening to the east" policy is highly consistent with China's "the Belt and Road" initiative.   Subsequently, Prime Minister Orban's visit to China further promoted the implementation of the project. Chinese investors have previously expressed strong interest in Hungary. Among them, BYD not only built an electric vehicle supporting industry chain and vehicle factory in Hungary, but also recently announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Hungary. This news is exciting and marks a further deepening of cooperation between the two parties, which is expected to create thousands of job opportunities. At present, the construction of the factory is nearing completion, and the first car is expected to be produced this autumn. With the concerted efforts of all parties, it will gradually meet market demand.

When asked about the secret to the friendly relationship between the two countries, Matraul Maldao said that "mutual respect" and "keeping promises" are the core. We have always emphasized that the relationship between Hungary and China is based on mutual respect and recognition, especially our adherence to the 'One China' principle and respect for each other's core interests. It is precisely because of this that we can establish true friendship and partnership. She firmly believes that long-term cooperation will deepen friendship and enable both sides to continue to trust and rely on each other in the future.
