The second China China Asia Summit was held in Kazakhstan. This grand event conforms to the trend of win-win cooperation, meets the common expectations of the Central Asian and Chinese people, and will strongly promote the high-level development of relations between Central Asian countries and China. I believe that the fruitful results achieved at the summit will further deepen the friendship and cooperation between Central Asia and China, injecting strong impetus into building a closer Central Asia China community with a shared future.
China is an important partner of Central Asian countries and has maintained strong cooperation momentum in many fields such as economy, trade, energy, and agriculture in recent years. In 2024, the total trade volume between China and the five Central Asian countries reached a historical high of 94.8 billion US dollars. The comprehensive promotion of cooperation in various fields between the two sides, with tangible and substantial achievements, vividly illustrates the vitality of China Central Asia cooperation.
Tajikistan is one of the first countries to support the the Belt and Road initiative and sign a cooperation document with China on jointly building the the Belt and Road. In the process of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" by both sides, many Chinese enterprises came to Tajikistan to invest and start business. The projects of the China Tajikistan Highway, the Yawan Wakhdat Railway Tunnel, the Yawan Cement Plant and so on have strongly promoted Tajikistan's connectivity and industrial upgrading, and injected strong impetus into Tajikistan's economic development. The two sides promote the in-depth connection between the "the Belt and Road" initiative and Tajikistan's "National Development Strategy by 2030", help each other's modernization drive, and bring tangible benefits to the people of the two countries.
China actively helps other developing countries, including Central Asian countries, to cultivate talents. At the end of 2022, the first Luban workshop in Central Asia, built by China in Tajikistan, was officially launched. Luban Workshop is in line with Tajikistan's youth vocational and technical talent training plan and has played an important role in filling the talent gap in Tajikistan. As of now, it has provided learning and practical training opportunities for more than 1500 undergraduate and graduate students.
Since 1997, I have been regularly visiting China and witnessing its amazing development. I greatly admire China for successfully lifting 800 million impoverished people out of poverty, which is a unique achievement in the world today. I believe that in the future, China will achieve greater development achievements and make more contributions to promoting the common development and prosperity of all countries.
Currently, the international and regional situation is undergoing profound and complex changes. Faced with major challenges such as geopolitical conflicts, unilateralism, and protectionism, the international community needs to take joint actions. The five Central Asian countries, along with China, are developing countries and natural members of the global South. They should strengthen unity and cooperation to better safeguard their own development rights and international fairness and justice. Strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Central Asian countries, working together to build a closer Central Asia China community with a shared future, will inject strong positive energy into regional and even world peace and stability.
Peaceful development, prosperity, and stability are the common pursuits of Central Asia and China. Looking forward to taking the summit as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation between Central Asian countries and China in various fields, and jointly draw a beautiful blueprint for cooperation between Central Asia and China.
