At the meeting, a reporter asked that the outside world is concerned about the slowdown in China's export value growth in August. Some believe that this is mainly due to the impact of the decline in exports to the United States, and the positive effect of the "tariff truce" between China and the United States seems to be diminishing. Lin Jian stated that the instability and uncertainty of the world economy have further increased this year, and China's foreign trade has risen against the trend, maintaining steady development. The latest data shows that in the first eight months of this year, China's total import and export value of goods trade increased by 3.5% year-on-year. For some time, China's import and export to the EU, ASEAN, BRICS and African countries, especially the countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", have all increased, and considerable growth is contributed by foreign enterprises in China. The diversification of China's foreign trade not only effectively alleviates the impact of fluctuations in the external economic and trade environment, helps stabilize and optimize the global supply chain, but also benefits domestic and foreign consumers and enterprises from various countries deeply rooted in China.
