Injecting more certainty into the economies of China, the United States, and the world

release time:2025/11/4

On October 30th local time, the heads of state of China and the United States held a meeting in Busan, South Korea, where they discussed in-depth issues such as China US economic and trade relations, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in economic and trade fields. The diplomacy of the head of state plays an irreplaceable strategic leading role in China US relations. We look forward to the United States and China working together to uphold and implement the important consensus reached at the summit between the two heads of state, injecting more certainty and stability into China US economic and trade cooperation and the world economy.

Economy and trade should continue to be the cornerstone and driving force of China US relations, rather than stumbling blocks and points of conflict. History has repeatedly proven that China and the United States can achieve mutual success and prosperity. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, trade between the two countries has increased by more than 200 times. After decades of exchanges and cooperation, China and the United States have formed a pattern of complementary advantages and mutual benefit in the field of economy and trade. Chinese products have enriched the choices of American consumers and reduced their cost of living. American companies are continuously expanding their investments in China and profiting greatly from it, providing high-quality goods and creating employment opportunities for Chinese society. This is the result of mutual efforts and cooperation between enterprises and people of the two countries, as well as the role of the market and international division of labor.

Faced with the constantly developing waves of economic globalization and technological revolution, the common interests of China and the United States have not decreased, but increased. Currently, the economies of various countries are deeply integrated, with new technologies, industries, and models emerging constantly. Both China and the United States are also in a critical stage of economic transformation and upgrading. Working together to promote economic and trade exchanges between the two countries can not only accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements into real productivity, but also jointly lead the upgrading direction of global industries.

Due to the different national conditions between China and the United States, it is inevitable that there will be some differences. As the world's top two economies, there may be friction from time to time, which is normal. The key lies in how to rationally view differences and handle frictions properly. Resolving differences will not be achieved overnight, it requires time and wisdom. Both parties should take the big account and focus more on the long-term benefits brought by cooperation, rather than falling into a vicious cycle of mutual retaliation.

Creating conflicts is not a symbol of toughness, but a short-sighted approach. Promoting cooperation is not a sign of weakness, but a rational choice. The positive results of the economic and trade consultations between China and the United States in Kuala Lumpur fully demonstrate that both sides uphold the spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, and can find solutions to problems through dialogue and cooperation. China has always adhered to safeguarding core interests with strategic determination and promoting dialogue and resolving differences with a responsible attitude. I hope that the US side, like China, will keep its promises and act with results, demonstrate the spirit of integrity in fulfilling commitments and make efforts to fulfill consensus, resolve differences, and enhance cooperation.

A healthy and stable China US relationship is in line with the common interests of both sides and the common expectations of the international community. We believe that as long as both sides fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, uphold the spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, persist in resolving conflicts through dialogue, and abandon the practice of pressure, we can promote the stability and progress of bilateral relations, and better benefit the people of both countries and the world.
