President of Tajikistan: Eager to Closely Collaborate with China on Multilateral Issues

Dushanbe, November 14 (Xinhua) — Chinese journalists Zheng Yu reported that Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon recently stated that the country places great emphasis on developing relations with China and is willing to engage in close multilateral cooperation with the Chinese side.

During the handover of credentials by China's new ambassador to Tajikistan, Guo Zhijun, at the National Palace in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, President Rahmon stated that Tajikistan and China are comprehensive strategic partners in the new era, and Tajikistan is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in political, economic, trade, transportation, cultural, and security fields to better benefit both countries and their peoples. The Tajik side is also ready to provide all necessary facilitation for the ambassador's duties in Tajikistan.

Guo Zhijun stated that political mutual trust between China and Tajikistan has continued to consolidate, mutually beneficial cooperation has been comprehensively deepened, and international collaboration has been close and efficient, bringing tangible benefits to both countries and their peoples. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both nations, China is willing to work with Tajikistan to achieve more results in bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields, building a closer China-Tajikistan community with a shared future.

Guo Zhijun arrived in Tajikistan on July 19 to assume his new post.
