Scholar: Advancing Canada-China relations will bring opportunities for businesses, with immense potential for cooperation between the two countries

Canadian Prime Minister Carney paid an official visit to China from January 14th to 17th. Canadian scholars highly praised the achievements of Canadian Prime Minister Carney's visit and believed that the promotion of building a new type of strategic partnership between Canada and China would bring broad development opportunities for Canadian enterprises. The mutually beneficial economic and trade relationship between Canada and China would benefit both sides from cooperation.

Daniel Araya, Senior Researcher at the Canadian International Governance Innovation Center: In my opinion, the relationship between Canada and China is a perfect complement. I believe that if we look at the relationship from the perspective of building a new type of strategic partnership, it means that the two countries will have more comprehensive cooperation in the future. If we can enter the vast and competitive market of China, whether it is initially in the fields of rapeseed and primary product production, or gradually extending up the value chain to the service industry, this is a huge opportunity for Canadian companies.
