On September 25, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, held separate talks and meetings in Beijing with Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and Pakistan's Chief of Defence Force and Army Staff General Munir.
During his talks with Balakrishnan, Wang Yi stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the all-round, high-quality, and forward-looking partnership between China and Singapore has maintained a good momentum. Both China and Singapore are stabilizing factors in the world and should jointly address the emerging global challenges and safeguard regional peace and stability. Maintaining the security of global industrial and supply chains and the unimpeded flow of maritime navigation is a common aspiration of all countries, and China is willing to continue its efforts in this regard. China expects Singapore to continue to play a positive role in promoting China-ASEAN cooperation.

During his meeting with Munir, Wang Yi welcomed Field Marshal Munir and Prime Minister Sheikh Shahbazin's joint visit to China, stating that no matter how the international and regional situation changes, the friendship between China and Pakistan remains as solid as a rock and unbreakable. We believe the Pakistani military will make new contributions to deepening the traditional friendship between China and Pakistan and building a community with a shared future.
Munir stated that the Pakistani military will continue to fully promote the building of a China-Pakistan community with a shared future and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
