Foreign Ministry: China maintains smooth communication with Nigeria on personnel search and rescue and other matters.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated on March 31 that China and Nepal have maintained good cooperation in areas such as meteorology, water resources, and disaster prevention and mitigation. Following the severe mudslide disaster at the Gyirong-Rasowa border crossing between China and Nepal, China and Nepal maintained smooth communication on personnel search and rescue, information sharing, and prevention of secondary disasters.

"After the disaster, China and Nepal maintained smooth communication on personnel search and rescue, information sharing, and prevention of secondary disasters, continuously providing China with meteorological and hydrological data, conducting professional consultations, and providing relevant early warning information," Guo Jiakun said in response to a question. He added that China will continue to strongly support Nepal's disaster relief efforts, strengthen cooperation in areas such as disaster prevention and mitigation, and safeguard the common interests of the people of both countries.
