Guangdong's exports and imports rose 10.9 percent in July

A reporter recently learned from the Guangdong Branch of the Customs: in July this year, Guangdong's foreign trade imports and exports "heating up", foreign trade imports and exports of 673.74 billion yuan, an increase of 10.9%, an increase of 10.1 percentage points over that of June.

According to the statistics of Guangdong Branch of The Customs, guangdong's foreign trade showed a rapid growth in July, with the total volume of foreign trade reaching 673.74 billion yuan, up 10.9%. Among them, Guangdong's exports in July increased by 17% to 441.82 billion yuan, compared with a drop of 1.8% in June. Imports reached 231.92 billion yuan, up 0.8%.

Epidemic prevention materials and "home economy" commodities have become an important driving force for Guangdong's exports. In July, Guangdong's exports of textile products (including masks), pharmaceuticals and medical equipment and other epidemic prevention materials increased by 2.4 times, 53.9% and 94.7%, respectively, contributing 5.3 percentage points to guangdong's foreign trade export growth in the same period. Exports of "residential economy" goods such as computers, home appliances, audio and video equipment, mobile phones and furniture all maintained double-digit growth, with growth rates of 28.8%, 37.5%, 18%, 19.3% and 15.2% respectively, driving the overall export growth of Guangdong by 5.4 percentage points.

In addition, as major economies around the world restart their economies, guangdong's electronic intermediate products exports have grown rapidly. In July, Guangdong exported 39.16 billion yuan of electronic components, up 29.1 percent, and 25.19 billion yuan of electrical equipment, up 22.8 percent.
