It is reported that import and export between Shaanxi and its major trading partners, such as The Republic of Korea, ASEAN and the European Union, continued to grow. From January to July, imports and exports between Shaanxi and South Korea totaled 50.91 billion yuan, up 30.1 percent from the same period last year. Imports and exports with ASEAN reached 22.65 billion yuan, an increase of 65.6% over the same period last year. Imports and exports with the EU reached 22.29 billion yuan, up 9.4% over the same period last year.
In addition, Shaanxi's exports of agricultural products, textiles and pharmaceuticals grew rapidly. From January to July, textile exports, including masks, reached 1.8 billion yuan, an increase of 75.2 percent over the same period last year. The export of medicinal materials and drugs reached 510 million yuan, an increase of 24.8% over the same period last year. The export of medical instruments and devices reached 370 million yuan, an increase of 2.3 times over the same period last year.
