Fedex, one of the world's largest express transportation companies, recently upgraded its export services for China's cross-border e-commerce, and cooperated with China Customs to carry out pilot cross-border E-COMMERCE B2B export supervision and support the export business of small, medium and micro enterprises.
Fedex has upgraded its cross-border e-commerce services in southern China, a local official told reporters today. Relying on the relevant policies of cross-border e-commerce business-to-business (B2B) export supervision pilot implemented by China Customs, fedex can provide more efficient and convenient customs clearance services for cross-border e-commerce enterprises' B2B export goods through its Operation ports in Guangzhou and Xiamen.
The new cross-border e-commerce export supervision mode is applicable to cross-border e-commerce B2B direct export and cross-border e-commerce export of goods in overseas warehouses. After fedex customers register and connect the system at their local customs, their cross-border e-commerce export goods will enjoy the convenience of customs clearance measures such as simplified declaration, priority inspection and return base account management. Compared with the previous export mode of cross-border e-commerce, customers no longer need to package and paste the waybill for the goods separately, but can export in batches, so as to achieve efficiency improvement and cost saving. At the same time, fedex can provide enterprises with a variety of logistics services, such as customs transfer, direct port export and national customs clearance integration, to further reduce transport time.
Zhou Xiaoming, deputy general manager of supply chain of Xiamen Xinweifa Electronic Commerce Co., LTD, said: "The company started to cooperate with fedex in 2015. The logistics timeliness has been stable and fast, and customers often praised the logistics speed. The new cross-border E-COMMERCE B2B export supervision pilot by the Customs is another important measure to promote the healthy development of new cross-border e-commerce businesses and provides great convenience for our cross-border e-commerce enterprises. Thanks to the exclusive service of fedex, we have the opportunity to be one of the first pioneers of the transformation of foreign trade into cross-border e-commerce and support the pilot work of favorable policies for cross-border e-commerce. The company is looking forward to future opportunities."
Chen Jialiang, President of fedex China, said, "Fedex has been fully supporting and cooperating with customs in various innovation and reform work, committed to providing convenient and efficient customs clearance services for Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and jointly promoting the high-quality development of China's cross-border e-commerce industry. This innovative mode will particularly benefit micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which generally have large export volumes but low unit prices. The new customs clearance method can further reduce their logistics costs, improve customs clearance efficiency, and help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to rapidly expand overseas markets."
