The fourth "One Belt And One Road" new route of tianjin port group was officially launched this year as the "Venus zoe" ship docked at the tianjin port alliance international container terminal on 27th. This further enhanced the radiation driving effect of Tianjin Northern International shipping hub, and effectively promoted the formation of a new pattern of domestic and international double cycles of mutually reinforcing development.
Tianjin north international shipping hub is an international comprehensive transportation hub with tianjin port as the center. It is the maritime gateway of the beijing-tianjin-hebei region and an important node serving the "One Belt And One Road" construction and the two-way land-sea opening-up. Since the outbreak of THE COVID-19 epidemic, Tianjin Port Group has given full play to its role as a "pioneer officer" in transportation, actively opened new container routes, and fully served hinterland enterprises to resume work and production, thus helping to stabilize foreign investment, stabilize foreign trade and promote consumption.
The One Belt And One Road new route will be jointly operated by oocl, cosco, honghai container transport and Venus, with a total of seven 8,500-9,500 teu container ships put into weekly operation. The route starts from Tianjin port, travels south along the Coast of China, and then arrives at Singapore port, Colombo, Navashiwa, Pippa, Klang and other ports. A total of 718 TEU were exported from Tianjin Port, mainly machinery and equipment, medical equipment, chemicals and daily necessities produced in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas.
China and ASEAN countries have worked together to overcome difficulties, and are at the forefront of the global response to coVID-19 and its post-epidemic recovery. In the first nine months of this year, imports and exports totaled 3.38 trillion yuan, up 7.7 percent year-on-year, making ASEAN China's largest trading partner.
Ren Wei, deputy general manager of Business Department of Tianjin Port Co., LTD., introduced that since this year, Tianjin Port Group has opened a total of 9 new domestic and foreign trade routes, including 6 container liner routes for foreign trade, and 4 of them reach ASEAN countries. Up to now, more than 30 container routes have covered southeast Asia, and the throughput of containers has reached 1.32 million teU in the first nine months of this year, which has become another powerful driving force for tianjin Port's container throughput to rise against the trend after the construction of a north-south sea channel mainly based on the domestic great circulation.
Ren Wei said that in the next step, Tianjin Port Group will continue to strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign container liner companies, constantly optimize and adjust route resources allocation, create more high-quality routes to meet market demand, and provide better services for the vast hinterland enterprises and customers.
