The Municipal Council for the promotion of international trade and Shandong Council for the promotion of international trade jointly carried out research on the foreign trade situation

  Recently, Shandong Council for the promotion of International Trade issued the letter on joint investigation of foreign trade situation. In order to fully understand the export situation of foreign trade enterprises and their opinions and suggestions on stabilizing foreign trade, Taian Council for the promotion of international trade was invited to participate in the relevant investigation. The trade and Investment Department of CCPIT attached great importance to it and took immediate action to mobilize the CCPIT and relevant units of all counties (cities and districts) to conduct in-depth and detailed research on the foreign trade enterprises of our city, and selected more than 30 representative enterprises to fill in the special questionnaire to form the analysis report on the foreign trade situation.
According to the survey and enterprise feedback, the city's foreign trade development showed an overall trend of steady growth in the first quarter of 2022. Most enterprises reported that the export situation was better and warmer than that in the early stage of the epidemic. However, due to the continuous impact of the epidemic and trade friction, we still face problems such as reduced orders, rising costs and insufficient market competitiveness. How to better protect customers and expand the market has become a pain point and difficult problem.
This research activity provides certain data support for CCPIT to have a more comprehensive understanding of the city's foreign trade development situation and the development status of foreign trade enterprises. Next, in view of the needs and existing problems of enterprises, CCPIT will continue to give full play to its functional advantages of trade promotion, explore a new mode of foreign trade development in the post epidemic era, help enterprises seize the development opportunities in the post epidemic era and help the development of foreign trade in the city by strengthening training, broadening outreach channels, building communication platforms and optimizing service processes.
