Made in China seizes the opportunity of RCEP to expand the market

On January 1, the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP) officially entered into force in 10 countries including China, Japan and New Zealand. After the agreement comes into force, more than 90% of the trade in goods in the region will gradually achieve zero tariff, which will help Chinese enterprises expand the "cake" in the overseas market and continuously improve the international competitiveness of brands.
In order to seize the new opportunities of RCEP, provinces and cities have taken various measures to provide strong support for foreign trade enterprises to develop RCEP market. At the just concluded 131st Canton Fair, Chinese foreign trade enterprises seized the time of boutique exhibition and actively promoted products suitable for sales in RCEP member countries.
Push marketable products and seize business opportunities
The porcelain with Southeast Asian style and colors is Jiangsu Gaochun Ceramics Co., Ltd., which won nearly 20 business cards from Southeast Asian buyers such as the Philippines and India at this Canton Fair. The company's main stoneware in the style of Japan and South Korea also received the intention orders of new customers at the Canton Fair. In order to actively connect with RCEP market, Jiangsu Gaochun ceramics company specially applied for the boutique exhibition period from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. to promote high-grade ceramic products that are marketable in RCEP member countries.

"After the online drainage and related recommendation of the Canton Fair, the number of buyers' visits in these two hours has doubled compared with normal days." Sun Jinqi, director of the marketing department of Jiangsu Gaochun ceramics company, said: "this Canton Fair has more inquiries from online buyers than previous ones, and the exhibition effect has been steadily improved. The participation of domestic buyers is also increasing." It is reported that the "dundun" tea set launched by the company has not only attracted the attention of overseas buyers in the "new product launch" activity of Canton Fair, but also reached a number of cooperation with domestic buyers in distribution, franchise and customization.

Various measures around the country help to enjoy benefits
In order to help Chinese foreign trade enterprises develop RCEP market, all provinces and cities take the initiative.
In recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between Wuxi and RCEP member countries has become increasingly close. RCEP member countries have become an important import and export market, foreign capital source and foreign investment destination of Wuxi. In order to promote the effective implementation of RCEP, Wuxi has formulated relevant action plans to give full play to the comprehensive effect of the agreement through the construction of multiple systems such as service support, trade promotion, two-way investment interaction, cross-border e-commerce cultivation, financial support, transportation and intellectual property protection.
It is reported that Wuxi will establish "RCEP research center" and "RCEP enterprise service center" to deeply study and explore the implementation path of RCEP new topics, new rules, new business forms and new models in Wuxi, help enterprises make good use of tariff concessions of Member States and regional origin accumulation rules, and help Wuxi enterprises accurately explore the destination market. At the same time, accelerate the construction of integrated circuit International Supply Chain Innovation Demonstration Zone, increase the import of high-end industrial intermediates and the introduction of key equipment from Japan, South Korea and Singapore, and promote the high-end development of Wuxi integrated circuit industry chain.
Taking advantage of the advantages of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test zone, Wuxi will also focus on building RCEP import commodity exhibition and marketing center, encourage Wuxi enterprises to expand the import of high-quality products such as fruits, cosmetics and high-end daily necessities from RCEP member countries, and help enterprises open up the supply chain of Southeast Asian market by setting up RCEP cross-border e-commerce service center in the cross-border e-commerce Industrial Park of relevant cities (counties). Small, medium-sized and micro enterprises are encouraged to go to sea through cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Alibaba international station, Shope and lazada, layout overseas warehouses in RCEP member countries, and form an overseas warehouse service network with optimized layout and prominent functions.
In order to help enterprises explore new market opportunities, Ningbo has carried out research on issues of concern to enterprises such as RCEP's internal goods trade tariffs, rules of origin, trade facilitation, service trade, intellectual property rights and two-way investment, and formed more than 20 various research results. Hold a series of practical training, including organizing enterprises to participate in various RCEP video training courses held by the Ministry of Commerce and the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and Ningbo organizes various types of RCEP theme training according to the characteristics of local enterprises, so as to improve enterprises' awareness and practical operation ability of RCEP.
In addition, Ningbo continued to do a good job in the protection of enterprise benefits, comprehensively promoted the "intelligent audit" of certificate of origin, facilitated the export visa and import benefits of enterprises under RCEP, and cultivated a number of "approved exporters" enterprises.
