US Treasury secretary says tariffs on China "lose strategic purpose"

According to Reuters, two senior US officials said recently that the Biden administration is evaluating the cancellation of some tariffs on China and may suspend the federal gasoline tax to combat inflation.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen said that some tariffs on China continued by the Biden administration from the trump administration "have not achieved any strategic goals and have increased consumer spending".
It is reported that Yellen said in an interview with ABC that the US government is evaluating its tariff policy towards China. But she did not mention specific details and declined to say when a tariff decision might be made.
