As a landmark project of China Croatia joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" and cooperation between China and central and Eastern European countries, the Croatian peleshac bridge was successfully opened to traffic a few days ago, realizing the long cherished wish of connecting north and South territories. Together with many projects undertaken by Chinese enterprises, it shows to the world that China's construction in central and Eastern Europe has withstood the multiple tests brought by the COVID-19 epidemic and made valuable progress.
The pereshaz bridge is 2440 meters long and 22.5 meters wide, connecting the mainland of the country and the pereshaz peninsula. The bridge project is undertaken by a consortium of Chinese enterprises led by China Road and Bridge Corporation. It is the largest transportation infrastructure construction project since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia, and also a model project for tripartite market cooperation between China, Croatia and the EU.
The "the Belt and Road" project has benefited ordinary people and gained good reputation in central and Eastern Europe.
The Croatian radz Shipyard with a history of more than 70 years was on the verge of closure under the COVID-19 epidemic, and the livelihood of more than 300 employees was in jeopardy. After the start of the peleshaz bridge project, the shipyard became a subcontractor for the processing of the auxiliary facilities of the bridge and successfully overcame the difficulties. Hotels, restaurants and supermarkets are flourishing in comarna near the bridge. When local people meet Chinese people, they always say "hello" and "thank you" in Chinese.
Pereshaz bridge is a microcosm of Chinese enterprises helping the construction of central and Eastern Europe. In mid July, the priority section of Heishan North-South Expressway constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation was opened to traffic. The total length of Heishan North-South Expressway project is about 180 kilometers, of which the priority section is about 41 kilometers. There are 16 tunnels, 20 bridges and 3 interchanges. The proportion of bridges and tunnels in the project is about 60%. It is the section with the greatest technical and construction difficulties in the project. After the priority section was put into operation, many Montenegrins lamented that the situation of vehicles queuing up for one kilometer would become history.
On March 19, under the witness of Serbian President Vucic, Prime Minister brnabic and Hungarian prime minister Orban, the beno section of the Hungarian Serb Railway built by Chinese enterprises was officially opened to traffic. After the opening and operation, the maximum operating speed of the train has been increased from 40 km to 50 km to 200 km, greatly shortening the commuting time of many wage earners who travel between cities. Vucic said at the opening ceremony that the high-speed railway represents the future of Serbia.
The "the Belt and Road" project in central and Eastern Europe, completed before and after the outbreak of COVID-19, operates stably and has begun to benefit one side.
The delimara phase III power station, located in Malthus Shylock, Malta, is controlled and operated by Shanghai Electric Power (Malta) Holding Co., Ltd. After the power station is transformed from burning heavy oil to natural gas for power generation, it has played an important role in local peak load regulation, environmental protection and emission reduction. The mozula wind power station in southern Montenegro, also jointly invested by the company and the Maltese Government, has greatly improved the stability of the local power grid since it was put into operation at the end of 2019.
At the same time, many "the Belt and Road" projects have entered the final stage. The Bosnia Herzegovina chaplina section of the pan European 5C corridor Expressway contracted by Chinese enterprises is a two-way four lane intelligent expressway. It is the first expressway contracted by Chinese enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the first third-party cooperation between Chinese enterprises and the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At present, the subgrade works of the main line have been completed. In Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the tram track reconstruction project undertaken by Chinese enterprises is also progressing smoothly.
In Poland, the saleyuv reservoir and cross reservoir projects undertaken by PowerChina are expected to be completed as scheduled next year. More than 20 years ago, the Oder River flooded, leaving a painful memory for the Polish people. The two reservoir projects are key projects implemented by the Polish government with the support of the European Union and the world bank, aiming at ensuring the production and living safety of the residents in the basin and protecting the ecological environment in the upper reaches of the Oder River.
When the reporter was writing, a transport ship loaded with wind turbine tower equipment set sail from Taicang, Jiangsu Province. In late September, the equipment will arrive at the site of ivavik wind power project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was officially started not long ago, with a total installed capacity of 84 MW. It is jointly invested and constructed by PowerChina and general technology in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After completion, it will become the largest new energy power generation project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, helping to transform and upgrade the energy structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the land of central and Eastern Europe, the "the Belt and Road" co construction projects are deeply cultivated and harvested, and continue to be sown.
