Hungary welcomes Chinese enterprises to build battery factories

Hungary's minister of foreign affairs and foreign economy, siardo Peter, announced on the 12th that the Chinese enterprise Ningde times will build a battery factory in the eastern Hungarian city of Debrecen.

Ningde Times said in a statement on the same day that the company officially announced the construction of a battery plant in Debrecen, Hungary, with a planned capacity of 100 GWH and an investment amount of 7.34 billion euros. This is the second factory built by Ningde era in Europe after the German factory.
The statement said that the project is located in the Southern Industrial Park of Debrecen, covering an area of 221 hectares. It will produce battery cells and module products for European automobile manufacturers. The city of Debrecen is located in the heart of Europe. The plant of Ningde times Debrecen is close to the vehicle factories of Mercedes Benz, BMW, strantis, Volkswagen and other customers, which is conducive to Ningde times better responding to the needs of the European market, further improving the global strategic layout, and accelerating the electrification and energy transformation in Europe.
