Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade released a survey report on the foreign trade situation in the third quarter. The report shows that the implementation effect of the package policy of stabilizing the economy and the policy of stabilizing foreign trade began to be concentrated in the third quarter. In the first half of the year, the problems of freight rate, energy, capital, exchange rate, etc., which were strongly reflected by enterprises, were significantly alleviated.
"On the whole, the confidence of China's foreign trade enterprises is expected to increase significantly, and they continue to show strong resilience." Sun Xiao, spokesman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and secretary-general of the China International Chamber of Commerce, said.
According to the survey, 45.1% of foreign trade enterprises said that their confidence in foreign trade development gradually recovered in the third quarter; 30.31% of foreign trade enterprises are expected to achieve year-on-year growth in the annual trade volume, which is 4.09 percentage points higher than that in the second quarter; Large and medium-sized enterprises are more optimistic about the foreign trade situation in the whole year. Although the expectation of small and micro enterprises is weak, it has improved compared with the second quarter.
Specifically, the development of foreign trade shows the following characteristics: First, the export volume and profits of foreign trade enterprises are both good. 22.69% of enterprises' trade volume rose month on month, and 19.52% of enterprises' profits rose month on month. Second, the export profits of high value-added industries increased significantly. The foreign trade of industries such as railway, ship, aerospace transportation equipment, paper making and paper products, special equipment manufacturing, and automobile has sufficient growth momentum. 40%, 39.29%, 35%, and 28.28% of the enterprises have achieved a month on month increase in export profits. Third, with the deepening of enterprises' understanding and application of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), ASEAN has become the largest source market for China's foreign trade orders. In the third quarter, the top three major source markets for new orders of foreign trade enterprises were ASEAN, the European Union and the United States, accounting for 30.6%, 30.55% and 25.29% respectively. Fourth, foreign trade enterprises have high hopes for new forms and models of trade. 46.7% of enterprises believe that comprehensive foreign trade services play the most important role in promoting exports, and 22.52% of enterprises believe that cross-border e-commerce plays a greater role.
This survey also reflects the main difficulties and demands of foreign trade enterprises. "At present, foreign trade enterprises are faced with multiple problems such as shrinking external demand, insufficient orders in hand, high comprehensive costs, repeated epidemics, and increased economic and trade frictions." Sun Xiao said. According to the survey, 60.02% of enterprises said that the decline of orders was the biggest difficulty they faced. 51.83% of enterprises felt the diversion of orders, 56.22% believed that the cost of raw materials had increased, and 47.68% reported that the epidemic affected production.
The policy appeals of foreign trade enterprises are mainly reflected in three aspects: First, continue to strengthen the implementation of tax and fee reduction, continue relevant preferential measures for tax reduction, and help enterprises reduce costs, increase confidence, and solve problems. Second, accelerate the resumption of domestic offline exhibitions, actively organize foreign trade enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions, and improve the convenience of cross-border personnel mobility. Third, increase the training and consultation for foreign trade enterprises to use the preferential policies of the Free Trade Agreement, help enterprises effectively deal with international economic and trade frictions, and comprehensively improve their ability to use preferential policies and fight against external risks.
It is understood that CCPIT, as the administrative department of participating in economic and trade exhibitions abroad, has timely launched targeted measures to resume overseas economic and trade exhibitions. It regards such innovative forms as "participating in overseas online exhibitions", "participating on behalf of exhibitors", and "holding exhibitions offline remotely" as offline foreign exhibitions, approves and issues project approval documents, and will soon promote the work related to the pilot examination and approval of exhibition organizing units to go to key countries and key exhibition groups.
