Boeing Company of the United States once again turned its eyes to Chinese foreign media: looking forward to strong orders

release time:2023/2/3

Recently, Boeing Company of the United States has turned its eyes to China again. According to Reuters, Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun said that the production of narrow body jets would increase in the future. He hoped that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken could bring back aircraft orders with "strong demand" from the Chinese market through exchanges with China.
Calhoun said that China has always been the target customer of Boeing. With the increase of aviation demand, the demand for aircraft in China will rise again, which also makes Boeing continue to be optimistic about the Chinese market. "We are looking forward to completing the delivery work as soon as possible, and most importantly, we hope to obtain a stronger sales path from the Chinese market." As early as last September, Calhoun said that Boeing will begin to re-sell some aircraft designed for Chinese customers.
According to media reports, research reports from many companies around the world show that the Chinese market is gradually becoming the largest aviation market in the world, and orders from China are increasingly becoming the key for aircraft manufacturers to seize the share. As the world's two oldest aircraft manufacturers, Boeing and Airbus each have important models, which have been popular in the Chinese market for many years. But in the past year, compared with Airbus, Boeing's sales data in China was slightly embarrassing.
Previously, Darren Hulst, Vice President of Boeing Commercial Marketing, also said that global air travel in December last year had returned to 77% of the 2019 level. With the return of Chinese tourists, this proportion would rapidly rise to nearly 90% by the end of June. "We will see that this is the key driving force for growth and recovery in 2023."
