Ministry of Commerce: We will firmly grasp the implementation of the overall plan of China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Innovation and Development Demonstration Park

The overall plan for the construction of China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Innovation and Development Demonstration Park will be put into effect and the supporting policies will be continuously improved. The head of the Asia Division of the Ministry of Commerce made the above statement on February 13.
Recently, the State Council approved the establishment of the China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Innovation and Development Demonstration Park, and agreed on the overall plan for the construction of the demonstration park in principle. According to the above person in charge, the Ministry of Commerce will, in accordance with the requirements of the reply, support Fujian Province in implementing the overall construction plan, continuously improve the supporting policies, and effectively promote the construction of the demonstration park in an orderly and effective manner; Second, work with relevant departments to guide the demonstration park to improve the specific implementation plan and organize the implementation according to the division of functions; Third, give full play to the role of China-Indonesia cooperation mechanisms at all levels, further improve the construction of institutional mechanisms, and coordinate and promote the construction of demonstration parks; Fourth, further improve the overall coordination, tracking analysis and guidance services, copy and promote the existing mature experience and practices, and support the healthy and sustainable innovation and development of the demonstration park.
  Actively serve to build a new development pattern. Give full play to the complementary advantages of economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, explore the international division of labor and cooperation mode of deep integration of industrial chain, supply chain and value chain, and create a new highland for economic and trade cooperation and exchange with ASEAN countries. The establishment of the demonstration park follows three basic principles: open cooperation and mutual benefit; Market leading and participation of all parties; Innovation leads and demonstration drives.
The establishment of the demonstration park will adhere to the step-by-step implementation, determine the development goals of the near, medium and far three stages, and finally achieve a significant increase in influence and competitiveness in the construction of the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road by 2035. The level of industrial development, open cooperation, innovation-driven and collaborative progress will be significantly improved, and the agglomeration function of industry and high-end factors will be significantly enhanced, and it will become an important channel for trade and investment along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
According to the above-mentioned person in charge, the Overall Plan proposed 13 tasks from four aspects. First, establish and improve the new Sino-Indonesian trade system, put forward four tasks: building a new trade cooperation model, actively exploring and expanding financial services, improving the new economic and trade coordination mechanism, and improving the level of trade facilitation. The second is to build a first-class international demonstration park, and put forward three tasks: making full efforts to build an international fishery cooperation base, accelerating the construction of Sino-Indonesian food industrial park, and strengthening the construction of infrastructure and key projects. Third, strengthen industrial investment cooperation, and put forward three tasks to promote the integration and upgrading of the China-Indonesia industrial chain, build the China-Indonesia education and health cooperation base, and strengthen the standardization construction of industrial cooperation. Fourth, promote the interconnection between the two sides, and put forward three tasks: creating convenient multimodal transport channels, improving multi-level communication mechanism, and promoting bilateral personnel exchanges.
China and ASEAN are each other's largest trading partners, and ASEAN is an important source and destination of China's foreign direct investment.   Indonesia is the largest economy in ASEAN. The mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Indonesia has great potential for development.
