According to Erlian Customs statistics, since the first China-EU train opened in 2013, as of March this year, the cumulative freight volume of the China-EU train entering and exiting through the Erlianhot port has exceeded 10 million tons.
In the past 10 years, there have been 66 routes for the China Europe Express at the Erenhot Port, which radiates north, central, and south China regions domestically. The origin has expanded from central and western cities such as Zhengzhou and Chengdu to over 60 cities such as Xiamen, Dongguan, and Shanghai. The overseas destinations have expanded from Hamburg, Germany, and Rotterdam, the Netherlands to over 60 regions in over 10 countries such as Warsaw, Poland, Moscow, and Brest, Belarus. Import and export commodities include more than 1000 kinds of products, including board, pulp, potassium chloride, logs, clothing, shoes and hats, mechanical and electrical products, sunflower seeds, automotive vehicles and accessories.
In order to support the development of China Europe Express, Erlian Customs vigorously promotes the concept of "cloud supervision" smart port supervision, focusing on "technology empowerment+smart inspection and release", and relying on the H986 large container non-invasive inspection equipment at the port to carry out "advanced machine inspection" of imported and exported goods, with the establishment of "365 days × "24 hour" dedicated service channel for China-Europe passenger trains, strengthen business reform, optimize customs transfer procedures, achieve paperless management of the entire process of passenger train customs transfer and transit transportation, and effectively improve the overall customs clearance efficiency of ports.
Since this year, the China-Europe train at Erenhot Port has always been fully loaded, and the empty container rate has remained zero. The cargo volume in the first two months has increased by 13.4% compared to the same period in 2022.
