China will focus on promoting economic and trade cooperation with Central Asian countries in four areas

Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Shu Jueting said on the 25th that the first China China Asia Summit achieved a series of important economic and trade achievements, focusing on promoting economic and trade cooperation with Central Asian countries in four aspects.
At a regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce on the same day, Shu Jueting said that the Ministry of Commerce and the competent economic and trade departments of Central Asian countries have established a mechanism for the China Central Asian Economic and Trade Ministers' Meeting, and have signed three multilateral cooperation documents on deepening economic and trade cooperation, digital trade, infrastructure and engineering construction cooperation and development, fully reflecting the firm determination of all parties to build a closer China Central Asian community with a shared future. In promoting economic and trade cooperation with Central Asian countries, the following tasks will be focused on:
One is to promote the development of new forms of trade. Continue to make good use of multilateral and bilateral cooperation mechanisms such as the China Central Asian Economic and Trade Ministers' Meeting mechanism, and promote the equal quantity and quality of practical cooperation between China and Central Asian countries. Encourage enterprises to build overseas warehouses in Central Asia, support enterprises from Central Asian countries to enter Chinese e-commerce platforms, and promote the entry of high-quality goods from Central Asia into the Chinese market.
The second is to achieve continuous empowerment driven by innovation. We will carry out digital trade with Central Asian countries, promote rule integration, standard mutual recognition, and digital infrastructure connectivity, share development experience in artificial intelligence, big data, 5G, and other fields, accelerate the process of digital development, and jointly open up a new situation for digital trade cooperation.
The third is to ensure the security and stability of the regional industrial chain supply chain. We will promote the construction of cross-border infrastructure, strengthen cooperation in fields such as oil and natural gas, and promote the construction of cross-border pipelines; Deepen cooperation in the agricultural field and expand imports of high-quality agricultural products from Central Asia.
Fourthly, strengthen cooperation within a multilateral framework. China will firmly practice true multilateralism and is willing to strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan within the framework of the World Trade Organization, supporting Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan's early accession to the World Trade Organization.
