China Council for the Promotion of International Trade successfully re elected as a member of ATAC

At the 2023 Spring International Chamber of Commerce World ATA Document Management Council meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade successfully re elected as a member of the new International Chamber of Commerce ATA Document Management Committee (hereinafter referred to as "ATAC").
ATAC is the core decision-making and management body of the global ATA carnet system under the framework of the International Chamber of Commerce. It represents all member countries (regions) of the ATA Convention and provides action suggestions for the development of the international ATA carnet system. The members of the ATAC are elected from the 78 member guarantee chambers of commerce under the ATA carnet system. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was first selected in 2020 to represent Asia in ATA international rulemaking and regional affairs management. The term of office expires on May 4, 2023. According to relevant regulations, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade can submit an application for re-election, which can be re elected for one term after being voted by other members of the ATAC.
Since being elected to ATAC in 2020, CCPIT has successfully promoted Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Vietnam and other countries along the "the Belt and Road" to join the implementation of ATA carnet system, and played an important role in the working mechanisms of the ICC's ATA issuance standardization working group, the electronic pilot project working group, and actively doing a good job in ATA carnet services under the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, as the only ATA document issuance and guarantee institution approved by the State Council and authorized by the General Administration of Customs in China, will continue to leverage its important role as an important member of the ATA management organization of the International Chamber of Commerce and a representative of the Asian region during its new three-year term as a member of the ATAC, actively representing the Chinese business community in global economic governance.
