This is the first African head of state to visit China after the successful holding of the 15th BRICS Leaders' Meeting and the China Africa Leaders' Dialogue, and it is also President Talon's second visit to China in five years. In the 51 years since the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China and Belgium have always adhered to sincere friendship, and China Belgium relations have become a model of equal treatment, mutual respect and trust among developing countries.  
President Talon has repeatedly praised China's development achievements and expressed resonance with China's plan for modern development. He said in an interview that the Chinese path, independence, and good governance inspire all developing countries, and the "China example" provides inspiration and proves that development can be achieved by all countries.
Chinese technology has arrived, changing the reliance on nature for food
Pragmatic cooperation between China and Belgium ushers in new opportunities. After the talks, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents in the fields of deepening the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", green development, digital economy, agriculture and food, health and hygiene.
Agriculture is one of the pillar industries of Benin's national economy and a key focus of practical cooperation between China and Benin.

In Palaku, located in central Benin, China's cotton technical assistance project has been rooted for ten years. Chinese technicians have collaborated with nearly a hundred neighboring farmers to establish a cotton planting demonstration cooperative, carry out cotton variety selection, cotton planting technology demonstration, and agricultural machinery technology training, to help local cotton farmers change the current situation of relying on nature for food, achieve production mechanization, and promote increased production and income.

Local employee Fusheni has been learning cotton planting techniques with Chinese experts for 6 years and has grown into a key member of the project team. In his view, the Chinese side not only brings valuable development opportunities to individuals, but also helps to upgrade local agricultural technology and change the appearance of rural areas.
Chinese experts have conducted long-term corn planting technology training in areas such as Benin's Weme and Plateau provinces, established high-yield corn demonstration fields, and promoted local technological upgrading. In August of this year, the new "Corn High Yield Practical Technology Training Course" officially opened at the China Aid Benin Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center. Students engage in discussions and exchanges with Chinese experts through field observation, discussions, and other forms to learn professional technical knowledge related to corn seed selection, seedling cultivation, and cultivation.
Weng Yong, Vice Dean of Longping High tech International Training College, the organizer of the training course, said that increasing food production is an urgent need for developing countries. China has carried out a series of cooperation in Africa, making important contributions to improving local people's livelihoods, developing agriculture, and achieving food security.
Abdulaye Toko, Deputy Director of the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture of Benin, said that China is a sincere friend of Benin, and Chinese experts have brought China's most practical agricultural technology to Benin.
Chinese doctors are the "most trusted friend" of the people of Benin
The friendship between the two peoples is increasingly ingrained in people's hearts. During the talks, President Talon described China as "a great friend of Benin".  
The joint statement issued by the two countries specifically mentioned that China will strengthen cooperation with Benin in the field of human resources and continue to send medical teams to Benin.
'Chinese doctors' have become the most trusted friend of the people of Benin,' Li Furong, the captain of the 26th batch of medical teams assisting Benin and the chief ophthalmologist of the First People's Hospital of Yinchuan City, told reporters. 'I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to apply what I have learned to the African continent.'
Since 1978, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has sent 26 batches of 616 medical team members to Benin, treating over 3 million patients.
Li Furong said that on the road, strangers from Benin would greet them warmly in unfamiliar Chinese, and some locals riding motorcycles would stop to ask if they needed to take a ride.
The Traditional Chinese Medicine Department has been established for nearly half a year at the Maternal and Child Hospital in Natitinggu, the capital of Atacola Province in Benin. Shi Baoyin, a member of the 26th batch of medical teams assisting Benin and from the People's Hospital of Guyuan City, Ningxia, receives up to dozens of patients every day. He said that efficacy is the best publicity, and some patients even come from other places to see a doctor for a few hours.
Local assistant Ismail became Shi Baoyin's "foreign apprentice". Ismail said, "Dr. Shi imparted professional skills to me without reservation, which made me progress quickly." He hopes to have the opportunity to study in China in the future and provide traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment services to the people of Benin after completing his studies.
In the view of Jul Dumitu Mutuama, Director of the Atacola Provincial Department of Health, traditional Chinese medicine has rich theoretical and practical experience, which adds assistance to improving local medical standards and ensuring public health.
China's policy towards Africa is' consistent '
  For the past 10 years, China has always treated its African friends with sincerity and sincerely provided support for Africa's development. China Africa cooperation has become a model of South-South cooperation and international cooperation with Africa.
