Foreign Ministry answers reporter's question regarding India's statement that Japan and India will strengthen cooperation on key minerals

release time:2026/7/3

In response to Indian Prime Minister Modi's statement that Japan and India will strengthen cooperation on key minerals, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press conference on the 3rd that cooperation between countries should be conducive to enhancing understanding and trust among countries in the region, and to maintaining regional peace and stability. It should not target or harm the interests of any third party, and even less should it be used as a pretext to form exclusive "small circles" or incite confrontation. Maintaining the stability and security of global supply chains is a shared responsibility of all countries, and all parties should uphold an open and cooperative mindset and play a constructive role in this regard.
