Indonesian Investment Minister: Full of Confidence in the Future of China-Indonesia Investment Cooperation

Indonesian Minister of Investment and Downstream Development, Rashad Komsomolets, stated in an interview with Xinhua News Agency on the 18th that the Indonesian government will continue to implement policies to promote trade and investment and improve the business environment, expressing confidence in the future of investment cooperation between China and Indonesia.

Rashad said that Indonesia has always maintained an open attitude and is committed to maintaining a stable, transparent, and friendly investment environment. The recent policy adjustments aim to strengthen industrial governance, enhance competitiveness, and create greater long-term value for the Indonesian economy. They will not hinder foreign investment, nor are they targeted at any specific country or investment partner.

Rashad stated that the Indonesian government is committed to winning the trust of global investors through sound governance, high transparency, and long-term value creation, encouraging all stakeholders to make judgments based on verified facts and official information.

Rashad said that China has always been an important strategic partner for Indonesia in trade and investment, with fruitful cooperation, particularly in downstream development, manufacturing, infrastructure, natural resources, and energy transition. In the first half of 2026, Chinese investment in Indonesia reached approximately US$3.9 billion, maintaining its position as one of Indonesia's largest sources of foreign investment.

Luo Shan said that the Indonesian government attaches great importance to maintaining the long-term stability of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Indonesia, and reiterated the commitment made by President Prabowo during his visit to China to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as trade, investment and economic development.
